Kaila Ann's Baptism Day

Its great to be eight! Kaila is finally eight and she got baptized today!!!!

After the baptism we headed over to her Aunt Sherri and had some Hawaiian food and a little fun. Here is Aubree whacking away at a pinata.
And here is Dallin going to town!

Malulani had a HUGE swing. Watch out! The pinata broke off the string and so my brother just dumped the candy out-the funniest thing all the other kids are grabbing the candy that

has fallen on the ground and here is Malulani with her bag open catching all of the candy that was being dumped out! :D Smart girl!

These two are just so funny! They don't get to play much together but they are best friends! Aubree can't wait until she turns eight!!! I can.

Arrgg Pirates!

My front room has pirate ship equipped with real pirates!

Dallin got this for his birthday last year and every now and then

it comes out. The kids love it, it just takes sooooo much room!

Brandon was over playing and both Maile and Aubree decided

to join Dallin and Brandon's crew! The light saber cracks me up!

Feildtrip Day! YEAH!

Thursday, Dallin preschool had a field trip to Winegars Grocery

Store. It was way fun and pretty long. There was quite a big

group of us. Besides these cute kids there was the Miller's,

Readings, and the Jones family. Dallin was hilarious-he would

raise his hand for every question even if he didn't know the answer.

They got to go in all the different sections of the grocery store.

This is the bakery where they actually got to see the cake get frosted.

This is back in the meat dept. where they package all the meat.

The kids were fascinated with how this machine worked.

They all got a little drumstick sticker when they were

all done in this dept. Labeling my child as a "chicken"

how dare they! J/K LOL . We went back in the freezer and fridge

areas, the deli and got a sample of the deli meat.

After touring around the store we got to go upstairs

to the break room where they each got cookie and

punch. It was fun for them and we made some fun memories!

Rainbows - When its snowing outside?

I taught preschool today! So much fun, so much to do, so

little time. It seems like I always have too much stuff and not

enough time to do it all. It was a rush to just finish some of

the things we started. Thanks to my amazing husband

we got everything finished!

We made rainbows out of fruit loops, sand art, m&m's, finger

paint we even made a rainbow fish! We brought some color

inside because outside the white stuff is everywhere!!!!!

Free and fun

It was the perfect day to go sledding. It wasn't snowing

it was 40 degrees (which is pretty warm right now) and

the kids were out of school. So we bundled up and headed

out the door with a few extra friends. We invited the Millers

to go with us. Their kids have never been! And since Malulani

didn't have someone her age she got to invite Addie.

Maile absolutely loved it! The hills were quite a climb but that didn't
stop any of the kids from going up and down!

OUR Sweetheart Day

Once there was a snowman- fall, fall, fall

Malulani and Addie (best friend that lives next door)

decided to play in the snow. Along came everyone else.

They had rolled two giant balls-so big that Dave struggled

to get the one on top of the other! He got on and the kids

laughed. They were out there for hours and one by one got

too cold to help. So what started out to be a neighborhood

fun in the snow ended with just a few kids left!

next to Macy's leg) The two girls leaned on

the Dave snowman and now....well if it wasn't for

the Dallin snowman he would have fallen all the way down!

The girls tried to push it back up but did not

succeed. So there the Dave snowman stays leaning!

Yummy Recipe

Carne Rellenos Crock Pot

1 can (4oz) mild green chilies (the recipe calls for whole - I used diced and just mixed into the cream cheese)

4 oz cream cheese soft

1 steak a thin one (it calls for flank- but that is hard to find)

1 1/2 cup salsa verde (green salsa)

stuff chilies with cream cheese (or just mix it together), lay the steak on wax score one side and then flip over. Lay the chilies and cream cheese then roll up. It said to tie with kitchen string but I didn't have kitchen string so I use toothpicks-it worked. Put into crock pot and pour salsa over the steak. Cover with lid cook on low 6-8hrs or high 3-4hrs -till meat is tender. Take out and cut into about 6 pieces. Ours steak was able to be cut with a fork.

It was so GOOD! And so easy- It has a kick -the girls thought it was good but too hot and Dallin thought it was yummy!

Draper Temple Open House

For family night we took the kids to the temple

open house.They loved it! I loved watching

their reaction to how beautiful the temple is.

Dave and I thought that it would be good opportunity

for the kids to see the inside of a temple.

They are at a good age that they understand the

things and the importance of the temple.

Malulani said, "My favorite part was the

Celestial room and the Brides room."

Aubree said, "I loved all of it!"

Dallin said, "It was so- COOL!"
"I loved the elk and the mirrors"
In one of the rooms there was a mural of the

outdoors and he lived the sealing room mirrors.

Funny we are all dressed up and we went to
Wienerschnitzel. Dave hasn't been there in
years and I have never been there. Not sure that I
will go back there anytime soon. Me and hot dogs =(

Surprise Dave! Happy 30th

So Dave turned the big 30!!!! The Millers, Dave and I went to dinner and a movie (Taken-way good) and afterwards we went back to our house and there was everyone waiting for him! SURPRISE! All dressed in black. Last weekend was Maile's luau so I knew he wasn't gonna expect it. It worked!
