Eight is Great! 8)

I remember the day I had my Bree. Crying because as I went to the hospital I thought that I couldn't love another child as much as I love Malulani. It was a little too late to back out. When I had her it was instant (maybe it was all the drugs they give you -just kidding)! She was so different but I loved her so much. Their personalities are so different. She kind of scares me!

For her birthday she wanted to go sledding which didn't ever happen but we have a few weeks to make up for that! Most importantly she wanted to go to the mall and get her ears pierced.

So off to the mall we went.....

(If you haven't taken you kids to Macy's - you should they have a place where you can write a letter to Santa and an adorable mailbox to send it!)

I just got to say girls are so much fun to dress. This is the only shot I got from head to toe of her birthday outfit. And I {heart} her shoes! I know you can't see too well but they are patent leather with a zipper exposing the same fabric from her tie and headband. And needless to say "skinny jeans" don't look like "skinny jeans" on my Bree!

Here is my birthday girl before she has holes in her ears and......
here she is w/ holes!
She was so excited to get this makeup case-I am in trouble. Luckily it mainly lip gloss!
Because my mom just got back from Hawaii she was able to get Aubree some neat gifts. One of which I wanna steal! A coconut purse-A D O R A B L E
And because she is getting baptized she get scriptures- I am so glad she was stoked about them!
Her is her yummy ice cream cake and her traveling bear that is a school assignment.
My parents also got her a white muu muu for her special day that is coming up and for all of you that are wondering we are having her baptism on the 2nd and her luau a few weeks later (Dave and I need more time) Happy Birthday Aubree and thanks mom & dad for letting us have it at your house and for putting holes in my daughters ears!

Tweens party Hannah style

Malulani's eleventh birthday! Its gets tough trying to figure out how to celebrate birthdays. Especially when you are a TWEEN!!! So we came up with this.....

A "late night" party! My wonderful brother has a movie projector and a screen so we asked him if we could borrow it and watch the Hannah Montana Movie outside. Of course he was more than willing!

Here is the invites: to 10 tweems and 3 seven year old (Aubree and 2 friends so that she wouldn't "bug" her sister's friends)
Malulani taught the girls how to do the Hoedown Throw Down!

Birthday cakes at our house are nothing but traditional! In fact it usually doesn't consist of cake at all. Some of the past birthday include dutch oven cobbler and ice cream, cheesecake, pies, even root beer floats-try putting a candle in a that. So this is as close as we have gotten....

A microphone....kind of! We baked the cake batter in the ice cream cones and frosted them!!!
And this is what the girls wanted to do ....there was a few of them that licked their microphones and if you watch at the very end at the bottom-Maile wasn't singing in hers at all (I don't think she had anything left)!

We broke out the dance factory and sing it (on the PlayStation) and dance and karaoke to Hannah Montana!!!

For their "goodie bags" they each got a Hannah scarf and made body glitter.

It started to get dark so they all got their pajamas on and grabbed the blankets.
My brother let the magic begin and he brought his fun popcorn machine......
which Maile totally loved! Here she is with a mouth chucked full of popcorn!
It was so fun to have a movie in the backyard and of course when the hoedown throw down came on they all got up and danced!Tell you what it scares me how some of these girls can act when their parents are not around. All the talking about boys and what not. I had to change the subject a few times. I am not ready to be a teenagers mom :(
It was fun but man I had the biggest headache from all the screaming!

Maile's Luau

WOW! We did it! {{whew}} Maile's one year luau!
What a crazy time of year with the holidays just
past-but we needed and wanted to do it. We
love the tradition and it seems like a lot of work
but we love it! And we like friends and family
to enjoy it. Maile just love every minute of it.

The birthday girl and Dallin

Zoie and Maile

Kaila, Aubree, and Malulani dancing to Puka pants

Malulani dancing to Hanalei Moon-

she did so good! (proud mama)The real entertainment

It was so good to see family and friends all together.

I know we could not do it without the help and support

of our friends and family! We are so lucky and so blessed. =)
