I {heart} girls camp

So many of you may know that I am the girls camp director. My brain is constantly thinking about it. In fact I have a hard time sleeping sometimes because I can't turn my brain off. I am even more excited because Malulani gets to go this year...barely!!!! So the camp theme is "It is a Jungle out the" Which it has been a ton of fun planning for it. We had a parents mtg and Christa (my personal betty crocker) helped me make these! I know they should be all jungle animals but they are jungle/safari animals
Are they not just the cutest things?
And this cute walrus was done by none other than Dallin! Too cute ♥
Girls camp.... to be continued....

Baptism and Luau *WARNING Tons of Pictures*

This is an overdue post! I am apologizing for the extremely long post but this is important part of who we are and I didn't want to leave anything out.

Aubree Nanimakamae Olson turned 8 and she had the privilege to be baptized on Jan 2nd. She had the choice of waiting to get baptized so that we could have the luau together or get baptized and then a month later have the luau. Well she definitely made the right choice.
Dave and Nani
I just have to add that our family is so blessed that Dave is worthy of the priesthood and he is able and willing to perform ordinances like baptizing his daughter-♥Love ya Babe!
Some of the gift friends and family gave her but the best gift she received that day was little letters from everyone that attended. She reads and rereads them over and over. Also she has her "traveling bear" which was an assignment from school that join us.

After the baptism we invited everyone to Farr's Fresh for ice cream. It was easier than cramming everyone into my house and all the stress that follows. Funny story about Farrs we get there and they proceeded to tell us they are out of spoons. What kind of ice cream place runs out of spoons? We ended up going to neighboring restaurants for spoons.

Aubree was defiantly born in the right season because this is what she chose to spend the rest of the day doing....................We have THE best support from our families. Love you guys ♥
And of course when it comes to snow this is what Dave is doing.Maile would only sit on it when the engine was off.Yes this is as scary as it looks. She almost convinced Dave to let her ride by herself.Maile went down twice and that was all she stood and watched for hours!Dallin has soooo much energy and her was able to burn a lot of it :)
If the sun wouldn't have gone down they would have kept going. Three hours was long enough! This was the first time I was able to ride "my sled"! Dave said he got it for me but I am still doubting it. I had never even sat on one till that day.

So after weeks of preparation.....shopping, cooking, and stressing
Party Day!!!! I really wish we could have invited everyone but it just wasn't possible.
Our centerpieces!
Met Orange Strider-our pet. Surprised that it is alive still. I was really trying to give them all away but somehow we ended up with one.
My mom made this cake for Bree.I had a hard time letting people help. I know we could not have pulled it off without help and we have THE best support team-Thanks guys♥We were able to sneak a few photos-Thanks KariBree with Freddie and X (Thanks again Ash for the photos!)

A Luau is not a luau w/o Hawaiian food. We had 70lbs of Kahlua(thanks mom and dad for making it), 40lbs of Teriyaki, Rice, Chicken Long Rice (if you can get it to stay on you utensil long enough to taste it, then if you can get past the sliminess-it's good), Potato salad-mmmm(thanks mom for making it), fruit salad, Haupia (thanks Christa for making it), poi (an acquired taste ♥ it), and Lomi Lomi (♥my fav♥)

Thanks again Kristin and Alan for help setting up, running errands, and helping with everything. I have THE best friends ♥
The Lysager Fam-Christa help sooo much she went shopping with me, she was my personal day spa, she made the Haupia, and she even bought the goldfish (so you can blame her if you ended up with one j/k)...I am just glad I didn't get all 20 fish! Thanks again Chista and Tyler you guys are awesome!

Kawika and Kahialani

This is Dave ♥ it :) (he told me I couldn't post it on FB and he really didn't want me to post it on my blog but oh well-its too good not to share)
I am so glad it is over, I love doing it-it is just a lot of work!
Bree loved all the presents if you couldn't tell. Thank you all!
Lessons I have learned-I can't do it all by myself, that memories like these last forever, that you there is no limit of pics you can upload on one post, I really need to stretch when blogging for too long, and that I can ask for help and people are willing to give it!!!
We are so blessed to have Aubree as part of our life. We are also blessed to have you as part of our life too! ♥Mahalo Nui Loa♥
