Happy Birthday Dave-Man your old

Alright that makes me even older :( but don't tell Dallin he is convinced that Dad is older than MOM! Why because "dad looks older" I love that boy :)
Okay so once again I am weeks behind but I would someday like to print my blog post out and so I don't wanna go out of order. For Dave's birthday we decided to take the kiddos to a Grizzlies game. They always have heard about "latest love" hockey games but have never been to one.
We actually was able to have two games for the price of one. It was Guns and Hoses night (Cops vs Firefighters) The game started at 2 and of course it wasn't intense but still fun. Dave's family joined us. In Dave's family his mom was a firefighter and his dad just retired as a cop. The cheering was for both teams. Hoses won.!And because we a 2 hr break between games-we went down the street to Chili's for dinner.Aubree makes THE funniest faces. Okay she had a lemon :PAnd no I did not give Maile ketcup to dip her chips in! LOLThen back to the real game. Well the pre game (warm ups) were I always walk away w/ a puck from the players. Well this time the goalie Erickson handed me a puck-which I gave to Aubree (the goalie never give out pucks) then while they were warming up they shot one in the net in between the the glass and it was stuck so Dallin was boosted up to knock it loose and he got one. So I reached in my purse and gave Malulani a puck from last game. Crazy who carries a puck around in their purse-ME! They we so excited to get their own puck! Dallin carried it around for days showing people.
I was nervous taking the kids to the game-I knew it was gonna be a LONG night about 8hrs. Wasn't sure how long Maile would be. Afraid that they would ask for a ton of food (and the food there is soooo expensive. They did so good and they were exhausted afterwards-it made for a quiet trip back.
The only thing that was a bummer is we never sit anywhere other than the front row and I missed it. Spoiled-a little! Nothing like the players smashing into the glass right in front of you. Ohhhh and the leg room :)
We did find out that if the kids become a member of the Grizzlies Kids Club for $10 they get 3 games, t-shirts and any other game they wanna go to is just $5-we told them next season since this one is almost over *sad*.

1 + 1= 2

Ok so another 2 more days and it will be a month since Maile turned 2! Pathetic I know. She is an amazing little girl. I get teary eyed every time I think that she could possible not be in my life. Some of you know that she was not at all planned. In fact I was more than convinced that I couldn't handle anymore children. After a hard trial I had come to the realization that Heavenly Father really wanted us to have her. I am so blessed to have her continually bless my life. Oh how I so forgotten how cute 2 yr olds are. Some of the things she does and says HI-LAR-IOUS!
No she didn't get glasses but yes this is what she would look like if she did. She put the glasses at the tip of her nose (what nose she has) and said "Grandma Hansen"-that is how my mom wears her glasses. She now thinks that Aubree's glasses are hers-not a good thing.
We kept on asking her what she wanted for her birthday and all she wanted was "BOOTS" and "BOOKS" Well boots and books is what she got and more of course.
Hard to tell but Maile has her 2 fingers showing that she is 2!-one on each hand!!! It is so cute :) She is also my lil parrot. Her favorite things to repeat one of Lou Gehrig speeches...Today... today...is the greatest day....is the greatest day....! It is pretty comical. My favorite is "tot-ta-looo" instead of bye bye and "peace out"(she kisses her 2 fingers and does peace) and "shaka bra"(still working on the sign) and "bounce"(she evens bounces her head thanks to my brother-in-law). Her absolute favorite things is puzzles and books. She has named all of her babbies "baby Kyson" after a cousin that she has only see pictures of. I really could go on and on but I won't!
As many of you know we don't "do cakes" unless they(my kiddos) request it. Maile hates cake she will eat the frosting and say all done and when I ask her to finish she tells me "no likey"! So we did brownies and ice cream cones.
With the kiddos gone to school I spend most of my day with her. She is the most polite and kind 2 yr old I know-constantly saying "thank you", "excuse me", and "sorry" for things she never even did. She is so precious and just like her middle name she does strive for righteousness. I am one lucky mom!

It's Tradition

I am so behind on blogging. So this week is catch up week :)
It's tradition to spent Christmas Eve at Dave's parents house. Here are all my nieces and nephews with my kiddos.
It's tradition to get Christmas Jammies on Christmas Eve. In fact the all kids asked,"Can we open our jammies?"
It's tradition to have matching jammies (or at least coordinating jammies) however I was working SO much that I didn't get around to even looking for jammies till a few days before Christmas. I struggled even finding jammies at all!!!! It's tradition to read Christmas stories and read the actually Christmas story together! This year we added the Hawaiian Night Before Christmas!
It's tradition to play musical chimes. One year my wonderful husband made 15 set to give everyone. I must say that they have gotten pretty good. Here is a video of Jingle Bells
It's tradition for the girls to stay up all hours of the night wrapping presents and playing santa. This year was the record till 3 o'clock in the morning. Needless to say there is a rule-the kids can NOT wake up before 6 am!
I love this picture that Dave took of my sister-in-law....my mother-in-law passed out in the background!
It's tradition for the boys to stay up with the girls and play with the kids toys and to play video games. It gets pretty loud and out-of-hand. In fact this year the old girls kept on texting us to keep it down. I am surprised that the kids even get any sleep!

Unfortunately some of our traditions will stop next year. We will not be spending the night there. It's kind of a bittersweet. Kind of excited to have Christmas at our house...by ourselves. We have only had one Christmas at home since the Malulani was born!

We had a wonderful Christmas-the kids got spoiled (not by us) Dave and I stick to 3 gifts usually consists of an outfit, a game, and something they asked for. Well and their santa gift! It's the grandparents that spoiled them rotten!

I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!

Eight is Great! 8)

I remember the day I had my Bree. Crying because as I went to the hospital I thought that I couldn't love another child as much as I love Malulani. It was a little too late to back out. When I had her it was instant (maybe it was all the drugs they give you -just kidding)! She was so different but I loved her so much. Their personalities are so different. She kind of scares me!

For her birthday she wanted to go sledding which didn't ever happen but we have a few weeks to make up for that! Most importantly she wanted to go to the mall and get her ears pierced.

So off to the mall we went.....

(If you haven't taken you kids to Macy's - you should they have a place where you can write a letter to Santa and an adorable mailbox to send it!)

I just got to say girls are so much fun to dress. This is the only shot I got from head to toe of her birthday outfit. And I {heart} her shoes! I know you can't see too well but they are patent leather with a zipper exposing the same fabric from her tie and headband. And needless to say "skinny jeans" don't look like "skinny jeans" on my Bree!

Here is my birthday girl before she has holes in her ears and......
here she is w/ holes!
She was so excited to get this makeup case-I am in trouble. Luckily it mainly lip gloss!
Because my mom just got back from Hawaii she was able to get Aubree some neat gifts. One of which I wanna steal! A coconut purse-A D O R A B L E
And because she is getting baptized she get scriptures- I am so glad she was stoked about them!
Her is her yummy ice cream cake and her traveling bear that is a school assignment.
My parents also got her a white muu muu for her special day that is coming up and for all of you that are wondering we are having her baptism on the 2nd and her luau a few weeks later (Dave and I need more time) Happy Birthday Aubree and thanks mom & dad for letting us have it at your house and for putting holes in my daughters ears!
