I haven't fallin off the face of the earth

Though it feels like it. So much to do and so little time to do it. I have been working so much. Normally I work 16 hrs a mth and lately I have been working 34 hrs a week. It has exhausted both my family and I! Needless to say I am looking forward to going back to normal (whatever normal is) Here are a few thing we have been up to.....
Temple Square-man whoever has the job of lighting all of these floating candles has their work cut out for them every night!
Aubree thought that this would be cool...and it is! About the closest we have been to life size!!!

The last couple of years we have been too busy to go to Temple Square and see the lights and I am so glad we made time. Maile just oohed and ahhed!
For those that don't know Aubree's birthday is Dec 21 and Maile's birthday is Dec 29th! Why am I tell you this-well up until now I have been so crazy about keeping the girls birthday separate from Christmas. From NOT wrapping their gifts in Christmas wrapping, to NOT combining their gifts, to NOT decorating until after Aubree's birthday and I would take the tree down before Maile's birthday! That included having the Christmas tree up for 6 days. Crazy I know! Well Aubree is old enough I asked her if she even cared and she loves it up. So I actually was normal and we decorated the tree early in Dec. Baby steps right?!?
It seems like we have are constantly changing the theme of out tree but for the last 2 years we have kept it Cowboy themed. The best part is instead of stockings we place one cowboy boot out.
And every year my uncle dresses as Santa and visits all the grandkids at my parents house. Even tho every kid know that this is NOT the real Santa they still have to believe!
The best part-Maile didn't even mind him! Not a tear :)

So other than Aubree's birthday post I won't be posting anything before Christmas so

Mele Kalikimaka and a Hauoli Makahiki Hou!

Act II Scene iv

These delights have violents ends
And in their triumph die, like fire and power,
Which, as they kiss, consume.
-Romero and Juliet

I was ninety-nine point nine percent sure I was dreaming.......

So about 4 mths ago a friend of mine had we watch the Twilight Movie. It got me somewhat interested so she handed me all the books and I got sucked in!!! As I know many of you have been counting down the days for New Moon to premiere. So anxiously waiting for Nov. 20th to get here....well about 3 weeks ago we check on line for tickets and the theater that we wanted to go to was sold out till Nov. 21 :( Not a huge deal right?!? It all worked out. We decided to have a Twilight/New Moon party before our movie started.

The Plan-to got to my parents house and watch Twilight (w/o kids) and pig out on food....that we did, then to go to New Moon. In preparation of that Christa and I made some of these werewolf cupcakes.
They were sooo fun to make and turned out amazing-Thanks for helping me execute them Christa :) I also got some soda and put new labels O positive and A positive. I found some fun candy at Shopko-chocolates and conversation hearts that sparkled and said "bite me" and stuff.
My friend Liz each gave us a goodie bag that had "Twilight Wood" lotion which I really like and a movie is not complete with out hot tamales. And of course pizza!!! Me and my camera...the theater had this cute little display of Bella's cake. Which was pretty cool! Sorry girls for my craziness with the camera!I was able to refinish the book hours before the movie and I must say they did an amazing job with the movie. I felt like Twilight there was a mixed up stuff and some added stuff but New Moon was pretty much on. The movies were night and day and I know the budget was a lot more but seriously there was only one cheesy part. All the running scenes and fighting scenes where AWESOME ! Planning to go again...IF you haven't seen it GO, IF you haven't read it DO it......let it suck you in. I heard through the grapevine that they start filming Eclipse in March!!!!
Thanks girls for well needed girls night!

Rink Side

After a long day of working my wonderful husband took me to a hockey game. I was feeling a little bit guilty because I hadn't seen my kids all day long. It was a much needed date!

It was military night so, they had all these military men, women, and their families there. It was pretty cool. They even repelled from the celling. I know I don't appreciate all men and women that are defending this country. We are so fortunate and I was honored to honor them that night!
Dave couldn't believe that I took a picture of this.....but our neighbors sat their cups up against the ledge of the glass. Dave was right next to the dad and he look at it and then looked at me and said, "If I get those drinks spill on me I will be pissed" This must of been their first hockey game because seconds after the game began there was a fight right in front of them all 4 sodas came crashing down. Dave said, "Well at least it wasn't a $5 beer"

I personally think the hockey players did it on purpose. C'mon seconds in the game...aimed right there? Dave HATES to take a picture but I have yet to see a bad picture of him. If I could be so lucky!
This is Chris (future bro-in law) and Chelsie (Dave's little sister) They got the tickets for Dave.
Once again Dave shook his head at me taking this picture. Every time the Grizzlies got a goal she would be there shaking here cow bell. She got so into it-it was so entertaining to just watch her.
We all got into it. Especially the fights OMGosh there was like so many. In fact at one point there were only 3 players from each team on the ice.
This was one of my freebies from the Army. Dave just laughed as I sported this great beanie. The best part of all the freebies is that I gave it to my kids and they were in awww at all the stuff we got them-and it didn't cost me anything for their happiness (well other than the tickets)
The Grizzlies won 8-3 yeah!
There is a night in Jan were all the seats are just $5 .....so were are thinking that we are gonna surprise the kids for Christmas with some tickets-I can't wait!!!!

Candy anyone????

So it is almost 2 weeks after Halloween and the candy bowl has hardly been touched. I leave it out on the counter and none of my kiddos ask for it. Ummm.....Dave usually has a sweet tooth and he has not touched it. What is one suppose to do with all this candy. I can only make so many candy leis, the kids friends that come over are on a sugar high and I am sure the parents are not pleased, and this will not stay good til next Halloween. So if anyone wants to trick or treat at my house you can!!!!!
