Mercy River

Last night for enrichment we had a "Spiritual Spa". A local group that about a year into performing together came and performed for us. Man it was awesome!!! I can't believe I hesitated on going. I'll tell you what, those three are amazing. I only wish I could sing....let alone sing like them. I came home and told Dave that I had to have their CD. I usually am not like that but they were so good.

They related different spa treatments to our lives and what we need to be doing. They talked about trimming things out of our live. I tend to clutter my life with too much. Then they would perform a song that would just move you. They talked about Daniel 3:17-18. Being delivered from the burning fiery furnace. They never lost faith (burn me if you will-????could I do that????). The spirit was so strong and it was a good thing I brought my coat cuz I had goose bumps the whole time. My two favorite songs was The Robe and Fly Away (which I was able to add to my music player)

I just had to get the CD and I would recommend the CD to anyone- I LOVE IT!

Spring is in the AIR

Today was a beautiful day and we have the itch of spring. It is definitely in the air at our house. Okay me and the kids, Dave is content on still being winter so he can snowmobile more.
SO -off we went for a bike ride to the park. Dallin wanted a friend to come and play, so we invited Brandon and Debbie decided to join us with all the kids!
We did a ton of underdogs! But we haven't mastered the pumping of the legs just yet so it got to be hard work after a while.
I love this sweet picture. Dallin loves his little sister and he wanted to take her down the slide every time.
Maile just laughed and laughed. On our swing set we don't have a baby swing so she really hasn't been out on it-we need to get one! You can actually see her two teeth (14 mths old and only 2 teeth)!
They could have stayed there all day!
Dave decided to let Maile go down by herself!

YUMMY and easy!!!!

4 lbs beef short ribs (we have used all different kinds of ribs)
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup beef broth or water (I have always used water)
1 Tbsp packed brown sugar
2 tsp minced fresh ginger
2 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tsp Asian sesame oil
rice or noodles
2 tsp sesame seeds
In crock pot combine green onions, soy sauce, broth or water, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and pepper mix and then add ribs. Cove and cook on low 7-8 hours or high 3-4 hours or until the ribs are tender. Remove the ribs from the crock pot and trim the fat and bones. Skim off oils from the sauce. Stir in the sesame oil and cook on low 15-30min more. Serve over the rice or noodles garnish with the sesame seeds and more green onions.
*if your ribs don't have bones then only do 3lbs
